A disgorger is always used at coarse fishing for removing fish hook from the mouth of fish which is not feasible to reach by fingers alone. They are typically made of metal or plastic and are used on small fishes. Larger fish which are hooked deeper inside the mouth could be unhooked by a couple of forceps. The disgorger can be used by slipping its end over a stiff line and sliding to the curve of the hook. A push is then required to take away the hook. Due to the pressure of line, the hook would tighten against the ending of disgorger and then can be detached from the mouth.
